Downtown Bernardsville (Bernardsville Special Events, Inc)
Bernardsville Special Events, Inc (operating as Downtown Bernardsville) is 501(c)4 non profit organization fully devoted to the revitalization efforts of Downtown Bernardsville. We are currently seeking accreditation with Main Street New Jersey, to take place in 2020. Downtown Bernardsville seeks growth through the Main Street 4-Point Approach to encourage a stronger downtown and more vibrant community. This organization offers support for our local economy, provides additional resources to bolster downtown activities, conducts annual special events, and seeks to rebuild a strong sense of pride in our community.
Over the past 10+ years, Bernardsville’s downtown has seen a decline in businesses occupying the storefront locations. Similarly to many communities in New Jersey, this decline begins to affect more than aesthetics but property values, the livelihood of business owners, school systems and more. Receiving accreditation with Main Street New Jersey will guide Bernardsville with resources to, over time, welcome new businesses in our empty storefronts and encourage residents and non residents to shop, dine, and experience Bernardsville as a thriving community.
