1 Anderson Hill Road
The job market continues to change as does the way we look for work. In this workshop at Bernardsville Public Library, 1 Anderson Hill Road, on Wednesday, September 25 at 7:00 pm, Jan Goodman, a Career Coach and Community Outreach Specialist, will examine the value of presenting oneself as a complete package by using a résumé as an introduction to an employer and backing it up with a portfolio presented at the interview.
Come explore the new normal for essential elements of cover letters and resumes! Ms. Goodman will speak about writing the résumé and creating a noticeable package. This includes cover letters, personal branding, transferable skills, goal setting, and using LinkedIn. Listeners will learn how to brand themselves using descriptive language and find out what are the components of a customized personal portfolio.
Ms. Goodman holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from New Jersey City University and a Mini-Executive MBA from Rutgers University. She has a certification in “Leadership in Disability Employment” from Rutgers School of Social Work, is a U.S. Department of Labor-certified Job Counselor, and is certified in Myers-Briggs personality assessments.
