Don’t let foot pain stop you from dancing into the holiday season! Come to Bernardsville Public Library, 1 Anderson Hill Road, on Monday, December 9 at 7:00 pm, to learn about common foot pain conditions from Dr. Marco Ucciferri, DPM, FACFAS, of the Summit Medical Group. Foot, heel and arch pain can occur for a variety of reasons and the pain can be more severe with certain types of footwear, especially dress shoes. Dr. Ucciferri will discuss conditions such as plantar fasciitis (heel pain), Morton’s neuroma (feeling of a pebble or folding sock in foot), as well as other foot pain conditions, and the many treatment methods used to alleviate pain.
Dr. Ucciferri has expertise in child, adolescent, and adult foot and ankle medicine, foot and ankle trauma, and reconstructive surgery. He has practiced with Foot and Ankle Care Associates of New Jersey since 2003. His hospital appointments have included Hoboken University Medical Center, Somerset Medical Center, and Surgicare of Central Jersey. Born in Italy and raised in the United States, Dr. Ucciferri says, “I became a doctor so that I can make patients feel better and help the community.” He adds, “I believe in preventive health care to preempt problems before they happen.” Dr. Ucciferri is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and New Jersey Society of Podiatric Medicine. He is also a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
