Downtown Bernardsville operates via a Board of Directors comprised of members of our community. Residents, business owners, government officials, and others take on the role of representing our community to assist with promotion, design and economic vitality.
Joining our board of directors offers a unique opportunity for all individuals who would like to contribute to the revitalization effort of our town!
We ask that interested individuals review the following documents, including board member responsibilities, preliminary action plan, and the Board Member commitment form. These help provide you with specific expectations so that Downtown Bernardsville can operate and succeed with its mission in mind, over the long term.

Meet Our Board of Directors
The founder and Executive Director of Downtown Bernardsville, Olivia is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. She started her career in restaurants at 18 and has conducted every level of event management since. From planning and managing events, to cooking and providing service for an array of catering events. During this time, Olivia spent 3 years in corporate marketing, developing an affinity for buyer behaviors and promotional tactics. She is currently the marketing director for the Wavelength Companies, including Wavelength Audio Video and Wavelength Automotive in Bernardsville and Basking Ridge.
Bob serves as a contributing member to BSE's effort and manages our non profit entity.
Tim is the Chair of the Downtown Bernardsville Community Alliance and serves both the businesses and residents of our community. He owns Wavelength Audio Video in Downtown Bernardsville, a home automation business offering clients simple or heavily integrated smart home and commercial technology systems. Tim is a Bernardsville resident for over 20 years and is passionate about making our community thrive.
Jennifer is the Chair of the Dad's Day Dash 5K event and a Bernardsville resident and owner of MSBH Fitness & Wellness. She received her degree in Exercise Science and Sports Studies from Rutgers University. She is a Certified Exercise Physiologist from ACSM, Certified Personal Trainer from ACE, Certified Group Exercise Instructor and Weight Training Specialist from AFAA, Certified Spinning® Instructor from Mad Dogg Athletics and am AED, CPR and First Aid trained.
Mary Jane Canose
Mary Jane is Bernardsville Borough's Mayor and a Bernardsville resident. She assists Bernardsville Special Events as a borough liaison and is chair of Bernardsville Restaurant Week.
Downtown Bernardsville graphic design and digital media contributor, Jerry is a graduate of Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree in public relations with a focus in business. From the National Basketball Association to the Fortune 100, he has served in digital marketing and communication roles. Jerry is interested in bridging the gap between the physical and digital downtown in ways that help strengthen the community and the local economy. Jerry is currently a senior communications specialist for Honeywell International in Morris Plains, New Jersey. He has been a Bernardsville resident for five years.
